1031 Exchange Intermediary

If you are selling an investment property, you may want to consider the tax ramifications.

A tax-deferred exchange under Sections 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code allows you to sell investment properties and "like-kind" properties and reinvest the sale proceeds that would otherwise be subject to capital gains taxes.

As a closing agent, Land Title and Escrow works closely with the qualified 1031 exchange intermediary of your choice, real estate agents, tax advisors, attorneys and lenders. Land Title and Escrow will assist in completing the necessary documentation for your exchange. At closing, all proceeds will be directed to the intermediary to hold in a separate interest bearing account. Our experienced closing officers will guide you through the exchange process with ease.
